Recycle with AmericanElectric Recycling: Small Actions, Big Changes.
Why Recycle?
At AmericanElectric Energy, we believe that every battery recycled is a step towards
a cleaner and greener future. Here’s why recycling matters.
The Problem: Battery Waste is Growing
5%
Lithium-ion batteries account for a growing portion of e-waste, with over 500,000 tons discarded globally each year, yet less than 5% are recycled
60M
The world generates 60 million tons of electronic waste yearly, with only 20% properly recycled.
15 Billion
Over 15 billion lithium batteries are discarded globally each year, many ending up in landfills, posing environmental risks and wasting valuable materials like lithium, cobalt, and nickel.
The Solution
Recycling your lithium-ion batteries and rechargeable devices with us supports a sustainable future. It reduces the need for mining, minimizes environmental harm, and drives down production costs, creating a positive impact for both your business and the planet.

95%
Up to 95% of battery materials (like lithium, cobalt, and nickel) can be recovered and reused.
70%
Recycling batteries produces 70% fewer emissions than mining new materials.
200K
Over 200,000 tons of EV batteries will reach end-of-life in 2024, creating a huge recycling opportunity.

Recycling Methods

If you bring your lithium batteries to our factory, the recycling cost will be calculated based on the total weight of the batteries you deliver. We only accept batteries that belong to the lithium chemical family.
