American Electric Terms and Conditions
1. Cancellation and Refund Policy
1.1. Customers have 48 hours to cancel their order. Cancellation requests must be submitted via email to office@american-electric.co, including a detailed explanation for the cancellation and a refund request.
1.2. Cancellation requests submitted after the 48-hour period will incur a 15% restocking fee for batteries. For other products, 85% of the total purchase amount will be refunded due to production and procurement costs.
1.3. Approved cancellations will be refunded via the original payment method, typically reflecting within 7-10 business days.
2. Delivery Policy
2.1. The estimated delivery time for batteries is 25-30 business days.
2.2. Delays caused by force majeure (e.g., supplier issues, Hazmat shipping delays, or custom battery sourcing) allow American Electric an additional 10 business days for delivery.
2.3. If delivery exceeds the extended timeframe, customers may request a full refund.
3. Return & Exchange Policy
General Provisions:
3.1. Returns require the original receipt, gift receipt, or packing slip. A valid photo ID is required for in-store returns or exchanges.
3.2. Returns and exchanges are only accepted for products in new, original condition within 14 days of purchase. A 15% restocking fee applies to new returned items. Used items are final sale.
Non-Returnable Items:

Used Items: Any items showing signs of use or wear.

Custom Products: Custom-built battery packs or any order with special requirements. Ex: Samples, Products not offered on our site for direct purchase.

Services: Completed installation services, delivery services, prepaid cards, or subscriptions.

Damaged/Abused Items: Items damaged, abused, or misused, including damaged batteries.

Missing Parts: Products missing essential accessories (e.g., cords, cables).

Personalized Items: Etched or customized products.

Special Orders: Non-defective special orders.
Returns by Mail:

Pack the return in the original shipping package, including the packing slip, return label, and all original materials.

Refund Methods:
Refunds will be credited to the original payment method (credit card or PayPal).
Returns Tracking:
Returns and exchanges may require valid photo ID. Accepted IDs include:

American Electric reserves the right to deny future returns/exchanges if abuse of the policy is detected.
4. Warranty Policy
4.1. Warranty claims for manufacturing defects (e.g., charging failures, power issues, visible scratches or dents) must be submitted via email to office@american-electric.co.
4.2. Approved claims will receive a return shipping label. Customers are required to pay a $39 prepaid shipping fee.
4.3. If the technical evaluation determines that damage resulted from improper handling (e.g., opening the case, impacts, fuse damage), the shipping fee is non-refundable.
4.4. If a manufacturing defect is confirmed, American Electric will repair or replace the product within 10-15 business days.
Battery Support Commitment:
American Electric provides product support for new and custom batteries for one year from the delivery date. Contact us for assistance if issues arise within this period.
5. Chargeback Policy
5.1. Customers are advised not to initiate chargebacks. By completing a purchase, customers agree to these Terms and Conditions, including cancellation, returns, and refund procedures.
5.2. Unjustified chargebacks may result in legal action to recover associated costs. A minimum fee of $100 or up to 5% of the total purchase price will apply to all unjustified chargebacks.
5.3 We are committed to providing exceptional service and honoring our refund policy. If your order is late and meets the criteria outlined in our cancellation terms, you are eligible for a refund.
To ensure a smooth and efficient resolution, we kindly ask that you contact us directly at office@american-electric.co to process your refund. Filing a chargeback is unnecessary and will complicate and delay the return process.
Our team is here to assist you promptly and ensure your satisfaction without the need for a chargeback.
6. General Provisions
6.1. American Electric reserves the right to amend these Terms and Conditions at any time. Changes will be published on the official website and take effect immediately upon publication.
6.2. Acceptance of these Terms and Conditions is mandatory for completing a purchase. Customers are encouraged to review all conditions carefully before placing an order.

Battery Safety Notice
CAUTION: Improper use of lithium-ion batteries can result in explosions, fires, serious injury, or property damage. Using these batteries for purposes not specified by the manufacturer is hazardous.
All rechargeable batteries, including Li-ion (Lithium-ion), LiPo (Lithium-ion Polymer), and other types (collectively referred to as "Rechargeable Batteries"), carry inherent risks. Extreme caution is required during handling, charging, discharging, assembly, and storage.
Key Guidelines for Safe Use:

Always charge Rechargeable Batteries on and within fire-resistant materials.

Never leave Rechargeable Batteries unattended while charging.

Do not use any Rechargeable Battery or charger if it shows visible damage or signs of mishandling.

Store and transport batteries in secure, non-conductive containers.

Dispose of batteries and chargers in compliance with local laws and regulations. Contact your local municipality for guidance if unsure.

If a battery overheats, emits hissing sounds, or bulges, isolate it from flammable materials immediately and, if possible, take it outdoors.

In case of a fire, the FAA recommends pouring water or soda on the battery and surrounding areas. A foam extinguisher is also effective for suppressing battery fires.

American Electric shall not be held responsible for damages arising from the misuse or mishandling of Rechargeable Batteries. By purchasing our products, buyers agree to indemnify and hold American Electric North America LLC (AmericanElectric, AmericanElectric Lithium Batteries), its directors, officers, contractors, employees, and agents harmless from any claims, demands, damages, or liabilities, including reasonable attorney's fees, related to the purchased products.

Service Policy
American Electric offers battery servicing for issues determined to be the manufacturer’s responsibility. Cases of customer misuse or mishandling will be reviewed at the discretion of our technical team, and additional fees may apply depending on the nature and severity of the issue.
